Nestled in the heart of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Ayat Bay Ridge is a captivating Palestinian restaurant that delivers an authentic and richly satisfying Middle Eastern dining experience. This charming bistro masterfully blends traditional Palestinian flavors with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, making every visit feel like a celebration of heritage and hospitality.

The culinary offerings at Ayat Bay Ridge are a true testament to the depth and complexity of Palestinian cuisine. Signature dishes such as the Fattat Jaj — a beautifully layered, six-tiered harmony of roasted chicken, fragrant rice, chickpeas, and mint yogurt, all crowned with crunchy pita and slivered almonds — invite diners to savor a symphony of textures and flavors. The aromatic Chicken Ouzi enchants with tender roasted chicken and seasoned rice speckled with traditional spices and garnished with almonds, evoking memories of festive, family-style meals.

Vegetarian and gluten-free guests will find plenty to delight their palates as well, with comforting options like the hearty Fatta Hummus Chicken and an array of flavorful cold appetizers, including freshly prepared Baba Ghanoush and creamy, delicately whipped Labneh. The Mezze Filistini platter is a standout, offering a generous assortment of Mediterranean favorites that are perfect for sharing — a meal that is as vibrant visually as it is on the tongue.

The dining environment is thoughtfully designed to evoke a sense of Middle Eastern charm without sacrificing comfort or modern sensibilities. Guests consistently praise the attentive, heartfelt hospitality. One delighted diner applauded their server for going above and beyond, even bringing extra pomegranates on the side after a casual mention — a perfect example of Ayat’s genuine care for its patrons.

The culinary journey does not end with the savory dishes; traditional Palestinian beverages like the refreshing Limonana, a lively blend of fresh lemon juice, sugar, and mint leaves, cleanse the palate and offer a welcome zing. For a fulfilling, communal dining experience or a special family occasion, Ayat Bay Ridge’s catering service provides an array of meticulously prepared cold appetizers and mezze platters that bring the authentic flavors of Palestine right to your doorstep.

Visitors consistently highlight the generous portion sizes, making the price point especially appealing, and the overall atmosphere vibrant yet intimate — ideal for everything from casual lunches to festive celebrations. 10/10 all around!! Hospitality was amazing, our server was constantly checking in with us and going above and beyond to make sure our experience was great. I even mentioned that I loved the pomegranates on the grape leaves, and she brought me some on the side! Delicious Palestinian food :)

I’ve been wanting to go to this spot for a long time. Being from Queens, it’s difficult to make it to Brooklyn. But it was my friend’s birthday dinner and we all decided to let’s do it. Commute was 1.5hrs and it was worth every second. First of all the food was absolutely amazing. You guys can look at the pictures to see everything and what I thought about each thing. Here I want to talk about the service. I booked at 6:30pm and came in at 5:30pm with two big gift bags for my friend as it was his birthday. Since my other friend and I were the first ones, we wanted to put the bags somewhere and go walk around and grab some tea. No problem at all. I walked in and our lovely waitress, Tea, allowed us to put it behind the “bar area” and we went on our way. Then we came back because it was cold (still early for our reservation) but Tea already had our table for six ready and allowed us to sit down and relax while the rest of the party showed. This took an extra 25 min but she was attentive the whole time. We had a ton of questions from her and she gave us so many good recommendations. The main dish was entirely her recommendation which I don’t regret at all. I had made special requests in the booking to make sure I was the one who paid (sorry I’m south Asian and we fight over the bill even on birthdays) and she did just that. I gave her my card and had everything sorted. Finally, my friend had opened one of his gifts at the restaurant and left the gift receipt there when we left. Tea messaged me before she threw that receipt out to see if we needed it or not. Not one other restaurant or server has ever done that before. She was wonderful during the dinner and that little extra step was the cherry on top to a very special night. The food is amazing. The service is top notch. What else could you want? Highly recommend

Popped in for a late lunch and had a fantastic meal. Everything was delicious and the portions are generous! We brought leftovers home and I’m looking forward to finishing them for dinner. Highly recommend the Mezze Filistini (the labneh is possibly the best I’ve ever had). My husband is obsessed with lentil soup and really enjoyed it here. The menu is large and has a lot of vegetarian/vegan options. Service was great. This was our first time here but it will not be the last!

We came here for my birthday and the food was phenomenal - they even gave me some baklava! Palestinian generosity is no joke, I asked for one extra yogurt sauce and they gave me like 40 of them! (I don't know what they put in the sauce but I could drink a whole tub of it honestly) We'll absolutely be returning here

Drove 50 mins from queens to try Palestinian food for the first time. I sat myself decor is very pretty, staff was friendly but nothing of amazing hospitality. Now I got the Ramadan special which was $40 a steal on my opinion came with all the food in my picture attachments. Except the red mashes peppers omg that was just heaven. Meat was good but rice was 10/10. Will I drive another 50 mins for food here? Mabey, it's a solid place for good food and good vibe to go with friends.

We loved our first visit to Ayat. I have never been to Palestinian Restaurant before. The atmosphere was great and Decor was lively. Staff was warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. Took the server’s recommendations and so glad I did. We got Kefta Bi Tahina, zaatar Margarita, Mixed Grill and Limonana.

Ayat in Bay Ridge is an absolute gem! The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and flavorful. When the weather is nice, they open up the full side of the restaurant, letting in a lovely breeze that makes the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. We love coming here and always leave happy. Highly recommend!
